Workshop Focused on Establishing Clinical Transparency Policies and Aligning SOPs
JERSEY CITY, N.J., May 11, 2016 – TrialScope, the global leader in clinical trial transparency and compliance solutions, today announced that it will host a complimentary workshop titled, “Establishing Transparency Policies: Legal Compliance vs. Apparent Transparency”.
The regional program continues TrialScope’s Transparency Leadership Series with a half-day workshop that will be held in two locations in the US:
· Cambridge, Massachusetts on June 7, 2016
· South San Francisco, California on June 14, 2016
Clinical trial sponsors must balance the call for greater transparency with the cost of disclosure and the need to preserve confidential information. This workshop is designed to help clinical trial sponsor teams understand both the challenges and the benefits of establishing effective disclosure policies within their organizations.
Mike Forgash, Chief Executive Officer, noted, “Current developments in the trial disclosure arena will impact the industry’s existing policies. Sponsor teams need to know what that impact will be on their people and processes. They also want to understand how best to craft SOPs so that their practices reflect a broader understanding of disclosure risks and requirements.”
“Many organizations are struggling as they walk the fine line between legal compliance and apparent transparency,” added Thomas Wicks, Chief Strategy Officer. “The discussions in the workshop are really designed to help sponsors sort through the complex array of topics that impact development of clinical trial transparency SOPs.”
TrialScope’s Transparency Workshop will be conducted in a roundtable format with presentations as well as facilitated discussions. Attendees are encouraged to share their perspectives and practices throughout the program.
